The National Revolutionary Martyrs' Shrine is dedicated to the people who fought and died on behalf of the Republic of China. The structure was modeled after the Taiho Palace in Beijing and covers approximately 5,000sq meters. Paintings and plaques explain various 20th century rebellions and battles. Most people come on the hour to see the changing of the guards. With their silver helmets and blue uniforms, their precision and stoicism rivals the guards of Buckingham Palace.
